From the Original Master Tapes
Recorded in Clovis, New Mexico in 1957 and 1958,
From The Original Master Tapes presents Buddy Holly & The Crickets the way they were meant to be heard – raw and unblemished. Listening to these original masters it’s easy to imagine Buddy leading the band as Niki Sullivan on guitar, Joe B. Mauldin on bass and Jerry Allison on drums tore it up in the studio.
“That’ll Be The Day,” “Oh, Boy!” “Peggy Sue,” “Rave On,” “Everyday” – they’re all here, plus fifteen other fantastic tracks. The musical legacy that has extended far beyond Buddy’s twenty-two years can be traced back to these incredible recordings, heard the way they were meant to be heard – from the original master tapes.
