It was pretty cool to look at this list of performance dates and see that Buddy had actually made an appearance in Calgary, and the building where he appeared is still standing and probably will be standing for years to come as it is part of the world-famous Calgary Stampede grounds, though Buddy did not perform there during the Stampede.
As a Canadian, but also as a Calgarian, sure, we get some big acts through here, but the number of big acts to come through here pales in comparision to the number of big acts that go through Toronto or Vancouver, just because those two cities are the most accesible Canadian cities to the States. So to see that Buddy had not only gone to Vancouver and Toronto, but also Calgary, and Edmonton, which is north of Calgary, and also Regina, well, that's pretty darn cool.

hey there---speaking of concert dates does anyone out there have any original 1950's and 60's concert posters particularly those biggest show of stars or alan freed featuring buddy holly?...would love to know if any are available
