The engine serial # of Buddy Holly's 1958
ARIEL CYCLONE motorcycle is " CNLF4510 " as per the article " Buddy's Motorcycle " in the
summer 1983 issue of " REMINISCING "
This serial # is on the left side crankcase, just below the cylinders. Does anyone know what three letters/numbers appear just below the engine serial # ? Perhaps a fan looked carefully at Buddy's Cyclone when it was on display at the Johnny Cash Museum. A close up picture of the left side of the engine, showing these numbers would be the ultimate; but just a confirmation of what this 3 letter/number is
is most important to my research on Ariel Cyclones. Hint - - - I believe the first letter
will be " H " followed by a letter and a number.
