Been there done that...check out the hundreds of posts that are in Meet and Greet. Though, to humour you, I'll sum it up....sixteen years old, been hooked on Buddy for almost three years since the English Project That Changed My Life (or at very least my musical tastes), and I pride myself on having not too shabby knowledge of the man. I like a lot of the 50s music, listen to a bit of the stuff from now (Evanescence, Savage Garden) but it all comes back to Buddy.

they crowned Elvis as King, but Buddy was the rightful heir.

"To talk about what influenced my drumming-Buddy's guitar playing influenced my drumming more than anything else. I haven't played with anyone since that I could play with as well, because I learned to play drums with what Buddy played." -Jerry Allison

Yes, I've seen quite a few like that on the "meet and greet" and I will reiterrate...I'm 21 (soon to be 22) and have heard Buddy's music on and off since I was born (but it was mostly covers) and hearing a cover vs. the original are two different things...Once I heard the real thing, I was hooked! The only odd thing is: When I was a kid I used to sing "Crying, Waiting, Hoping" and didn't know what it was! I suppose I heard it in a movie because my dad nor my mom had ever owned or played that song for me!

The other music I listen to is:

Amy Grant
Keith Green (Who died in 1982 at the age of 28 in a small plane crash)
Kevin Max
DC Talk
Toby Mac
Tait
Jars of Clay
Audio Adrenaline
Newsboys...

I also don't know if I should mention this...but I'm a Flight Attendant...heh...
