When you turn on the radio, it seems like a lot of artists are over-produced and not writing their own songs, they are simply taking beats and samples from other artists. (Not all artists, however, but a lot of so called "mainstream" music seems that way).

Here's the question for ya:

WHAT IS AN ARTIST? Is an artist someone who creates their own music, like Buddy did. Is an artist simply someone who can sing/perform even if they don't write their own music. OR does artistic talent stem from the response one gets...meaning that the more famous you are, the more worthy you are of the "artist" title.

An artist has to be a creative force. Someone capable of creating something lasting and meaningful! If you want a true artist then Bob Dylan is it!! thats my definition of an artist
