Hello fellow fans of Buddy, Theokie here. In Liverpool soon, Maria Elena Holly will be doing an interview on BBC Radio Merseyside. I am hoping to be able to meet her to get an autograph. In 1997, Paul McCartney published a book called 'A poem for Buddy' and my own poem was included. Here is a sample from the ten verses I wrote:

Maria Elena and Spanish guitars,
Married for love and reaching for the stars,
Goodbye Sonny, J.I. and Joe B.,
Old friends last forever, listen to me.

Welcome to the land of Buddy! Hey, that's pretty cool about your poem. How on earth did you get a poem published in Sir Paul's book? Did they ask for submissions, or was there a contest or something? Just wondering.

Hi bear85. Yes, there was a competition and my poem was selected along with other people's for the book 'A poem for Buddy.' Macca wrote the foreward, and Roger McGough was amongst the judges. I'll let you know if Maria autographs my book. Cheers!
