Hi, a new guy here but an old Buddy Holly fan. I have been a Buddy fan since 1979, when I was 26 and heard about the 20th anniversary of the crash in my homestate. My family camped at Clear Lake many times and that stimulated my interest in learning more about Buddy, Ritchie and the Big Bopper. I had always liked their music but didn't know much about them, I was more into rock and blues then. I would rather listen to Buddy or Ritchie than any of the junk that passes for "music" now. I still listen to blues and jazz, a little bit of classic rock but I can play my Buddy music anytime and enjoy it-it is truly timeless. If you're having a bad day or just need a smile play a Buddy song.
