Hey Kids,
maybe i'm naive in asking this, but does anyone have Jerry Allison's contact information? I just wanted to let him know how awesome I think he is. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks!!! You're so square, baby I don't care. |

I talked to Bill Griggs and attached two letters in my email, one for Jerry Allison and one for Joe B Maudlin and asked him to pass them on respectively; Bill Griggs emailed me back with Jerry Allison's email and told me I could write to Joe B c/o Jerry. I emailed him in May I believe, and there has been no reply, so I am working on sending a hard copy, care of the Crickets fan club, in fact it's sitting on my desk it's just a matter of putting the letters in envelopes and putting stamps on them (which, I also have incidentally and better do so before postage costs increase again).
However, I would advise you to email Bill Griggs if you are looking for an email adress (bill@rockin50s.com) and you can also write care of the BHMS or the Crickets fan club, the adresses respectively being The Buddy Holly Memorial Society PO Box 6123 Lubbock Texas USA 79493-6123 The Crickets 8455 New Bethel Road Lyles Tennessee USA 37098 In retrospect, the Crickets adress might be your better bet because I think Jerry Allison lives in Tennesse and Joe B in Okalahoma now....anyways. I read an interview with Niki Sullivan before he died of how he recieved still about 30 letters a year and he replied to them....I'm not sure if Jerry Allison just doesn't check his email or what. But do try, let us know how it goes, and as for myself I shall try to send my own letters. they crowned Elvis as King, but Buddy was the rightful heir. -"Only pity was him leaving this life so soon."-Travis Holley "To talk about what influenced my drumming-Buddy's guitar playing influenced my drumming more than anything else. I haven't played with anyone since that I could play with as well, because I learned to play drums with what Buddy played." -Jerry Allison "No ma'am, I don't have time."-Buddy Holly |

Wow, Thank you very much for the information. I feel as though I may be better off just snail mailing a letter, more likely to be read it seems
I do very much appreciate the information, and I will for sure let you all know if I hear anything back! You're so square, baby I don't care. |

the last address i had for J.I. was basically the same as the one Buddy Blue gave you:
Rt 1 Box 222 Lyles TN 37098 perhaps the street he lives on has been named now instead of just being a rural address... it's true that J.I. isn't too good about responding, but Niki Sullivan used to be great about that. I still have the letter and envelope that Niki sent me years ago - it's a very nice note. it was great a few years back when i got to hear them perform (J.I. and Joe B.) along with Gordon, and got to meet them afterward and get their autographs. true to form, Joe B. didn't say much - but both of them were polite, of course. |
