Hi,
My name is Thomas Kreason and I am the Director of the Texas Musicians Museum.
I would like to let everyone know that we will be opening our museum very soon in
the Dallas-Ft. Worth area! We are in the process of choosing museum sites ranging
from 20,000 to 40,000 square feet. We will also have a non-profit foundation
supported by the museum which will benefit Texas music education programs
throughout the state, but also a program to aggressively purchase Texas Music
archives for preservation.
We are primarily dedicated to the preservation of Texas music history and are proud
to say we have preserved $500,000 in Texas music archives. We have enough to
feature over 100 Texas artists and that is just the begining!
We are currently looking for any Texas music related archives, such as documents,
contracts, instruments, stage clothing, records, film, photographs or any other
items that may relate to Texas music and its history. We will accept donations,
loans and we are also more than willing to purchase items too!
By doing this we are than able to stem the flow of archives that leave Texas on a
daily basis to other states or countries around the world.
We have some of the best historians and archive specialist in the world working with
us on this project to insure not only proper handling, but proper preservation of our
