Yeah, I know its merely an agent/client issue for you. Do you not know there is a world of people out there who want to celebrate the life and times of Buddy Holly? Yet, that celebration is continuously held back. We know why.....everyone knows why. His fans cry out, yet our cries go unheard.

From the very beginning, Buddy Holly and The Crickets captured our hearts. And, 47 years after his death, his fan support has not faded.

Do you not know that Buddy Holly lives?

Do you not know his fans live, and, like Buddy, will live forever, and cannot fade away?

I am aware you are just doing what she asked you to do, but, if your job is to support what that letter states....thanks, but no thanks. To support this board would be to support that, and I do not want any part of it. You might not be able to, but I can keep better company elswehere. I have enjoyed meeting a lot of really cool people on here, such as Rhonda, Dirk, Bear, Hans, Theokie, Gary, Jim, Helen.....definitely Jerry, and, of course, Jonesy, and many others.

Hi-D-Ho, you shouldn't have to leave a board because somebody's name happens to be at the bottom of the forum. Let's remember that Maria has probably never so much as seen the board let alone make day to day decisions on the way it's run.
CMG do her bidding, whether that's right or wrong isn't up for question in their eyes, they just do what they are told as good employees do. There's a good chance they personally totally disagree with all that she is doing but when you are being paid, that doesn't come into it.

As far as I'm aware, this board doesn't make any money (I use ad blocking software so don't see any ads) it's there just for the fans to meet and talk Buddy related things. There's no politics, so give your leaving another think before you make that sad decision.

The link had to be removed from that board by request of authorities. It was a link to a legal action threat sent by CMG Worldwide to Clovis New Mexico Chamber of Commerce.

I don't know much about CMG, just know that they're the company engaged by the estate to protect Buddy Holly's name and image from being commercially exploited by others for their personal gain.

The BuddyHolly.com Team has no involvement with any legal actions taken by CMG or the estate, we work for an organization that develops communities like these, we try to bring audiences and artists closer together.

Hi-D-Ho, sorry to see you want to leave. I'm not quite sure what you are mad about as I must have missed some of the original posts. But as Dirk say's employees have to do as they are asked whether they agree or not. I'm sure it's nothing personal against the users of this site. It would be a shame to lose you as you have contributed to some lively discussions while on this site. Yeah I was very ticked off about CMG and I just didn't want to be associated with them if they were running this board. I appreciate Jim spelling it out like he did. I know I don't need a discussion board to enjoy Buddy Holly, but it sure makes it nice to be around people who love him as much as I. If its okay, I'm back. Now, let's start making some noise on here. It's time to shake, rattle and roll this board.
