Hi guys,
I'm a new member, but like most of you, a huge Buddy holly fan. Needless to say, the man, the music changed my life as I have been listening to his stuff since I was 12. I'm now 30. Anyway, I've been tryign to locate a tribute song by The Whitesidewalls called "I Know I'll Have Those Blues Again." It's impossible to find! I heard on a tribute radio show up in Toronto back in 1988 and have since lost the tape it was recorded on. So i was wondering if anyone could direct me to a site that has it? Thanks, Mike |

I have never heard the song, though I have seen it on a download list, though I was not able to download it. It was categorized under the "lost apartement tapes" but that was probably just a lure to get people to download it. Though I can't help you yet (I'll do some surfing the net sometime soon) I'm just saying this so that you don't give up all hope.
That's so cool that there was a tribute radio show for him in Toronto in '88-I don't suppose that they do it anymore? they crowned Elvis as King, but Buddy was the rightful heir. -"Only pity was him leaving this life so soon."-Travis Holley "To talk about what influenced my drumming-Buddy's guitar playing influenced my drumming more than anything else. I haven't played with anyone since that I could play with as well, because I learned to play drums with what Buddy played." -Jerry Allison "No ma'am, I don't have time."-Buddy Holly |

According to Terry Shaw's website, Buddy recorded I Know I'll Have the Blues Again, which was then covered by the Whitesidewalls. Sorry, I thought it was an actual tribute song, Anyways, apparently there's an acoustic instrumental on the "Famous Buddy Holly Apartment Tapes" (bootlegged-I for one am not surprised) and this is the same as I Know I'll Have The Blues Again. In suggesting this is quite a long stretch, but this may be the same song as Leave My Woman Alone, and I think it was given that name after Buddy's death, so these may be the same songs, in a long stretch.......who knows?
