I saw it on ebay as well and was the first to bid on on it and was out bid unfortunately.
I have a Buddy Holly cover band in NYC called The Brevoort and I'm doing mostly the more obscure work and I'm missing "What You Been A-Missin', if anyone knows of another way I can get it please let me know.

Have you been to the Buddy landmarks in NYC? Like his apartment or studio's where he recorded for Coral and did the 'strings' sessions ?

Hi Nikliss
I've been to the apartment building many times, it's not too far from where I live, and I've taken photos which I'd be happy to send you. I haven't been to the studios, where are they?

the string sessions were done at the Pythian Temple in NYC.

"Rave On" and "That's My Desire" were also recorded in NYC, but they were done at Bell Sound Studios.

The Vigotone "What You Been A-Missin'" 4(5) disk collection was great in it's day as was the Tex-Mex "The Buddy I Knew" 7 disk collection but both have since been superceeded by the Purple Chick "Complete Buddy Holly" 10 disk collection.
This is a great collection and well worth hunting down, crisper, cleaner, longer versions of the tracks than both the aforementioned collections.
