Just wanted to say hello. I am a long-time Buddy fan but I am new to this board. I have been a fan since the late seventies. I have studied the life and career of Buddy Holly and I am amazed at what he accomplished during his short time on earth.

What is Lubbock like? People I know in Texas tell me that there isn't anything much there (but I did hear there is alot of Buddy Holly stuff and I WANNA SEE IT!). I ask this seeing as I am from WAY UP in New York near Canada (about an hour from) and I have yet to go to Texas (rumor has it that my company is going to fly to Austin, but a friend of mine in Dallas said thats no where near Lubbock)...I feel so deprived...tell me what its like! (Isn't Buddy buried there?)
