Wink Hello my friends, I'm from Germany, die-hard Buddy fan from the beginning, now i'm 58, nearly 59, and I started the very first website in my life to keep the legacy of our mutual Buddy alive. I already have a guest book with entries of the real Peggy Sue and Sherry Holley, as well, quite a lot more from the USA and more Buddy nuts around the globe. SIGN MY GUEST BOOK PLEASE AND I'LL BE HAPPY ! You find my new homepage here: YEAH BUDDY Homepage As we all love our idol Buddy up there in Heaven, have a look please at this very young website from the other side of the planet, you'll surely be surprised to find such a lot of photos and information, although I started with my first homepage in the middle of January, more than 1000 visitors up to date, I'm so happy that so many true friends of Buddy like to read some more about Buddy and the Buddy world around. Have fun and keep rockin'.

I went to your website, and just looking at one of the pictures (near the text of where you introduce yourself and across from the picture of the yellow stratocaster) is that Buddy dancing with some girl, or just a guy wearing glasses like Buddy and looking freakishly like Buddy? Smiler
If it is Buddy, where on earth did you find this picture and what's the story behind a) how you found it and b) what's going on in the picture?

CoolIt's a cool photo, it's the REAL Buddy with Jerry Ivan in the middle and Joe B. on the right side. I checked my archive. I found this pic in the web on the 27th of December, 2000. Maybe the website no longer exists, I don't know any story behind, but I thin that this photo was taken when the Crickets were on tour, that's what I remember.

A little bit more information about that amazing photo....first of all, more shots of that same event exist, as I have a different shot of Buddy dancing at the same event in the biography Remembering Buddy. The event was the Crickets' UK press conference at Whiskey-a-go-go in Soho, London.

Hi buddy-blue, :) I just came back from a windy and sunny holiday in Lanzarote, part of the Canary Islands, and I'd like to say thank you for your informations. In my hotel Barcelo Lanzarote I met an English singer who makes Neil Diamond tributes for more than 25 years now, I saw him for the 3rd and 4th time in that hotel and he made his job as if it was the very first time, a lot of enthusiasm the way he sang and the way he moved his body. We spoke about his job before, in-between and after the show and he told me that he had a very good friend touring the hotels and clubs in Lanzarote with Elvis and Buddy Holly shows, one day he is Elvis, the other day he is Buddy. We had no more time to discuss more, so I don't know much enough about that unknown Buddy tribute singer. Does anybody know more? if so, please send a mail to "vipetty@web.de". THANX A LOT, FOLKS ! A lot of British peaople were in my hotel, about 90 %, the same on the whole island. My holidays were in England ! ! !

Cheers from Germany and my new website about Buddy is

Big Grin Hi John, let's wait and see. This site is absolutely commercial trying to sell as much as possible. My site is absolutely private trying to inform the fans of Buddy Holly and to keep the memory alive. Wink That's the difference ! Keep rocking, my friend and have a weekly look at my website from Germany, then you can see the changes. YEAH BUDDY
I hope you and all other Buddy nuts around the globe like it, my newest guest book entry is from John Mueller, the reincarnation of Buddy Holly.
Cheers from Germany from Buddy's German buddy Hans Werner

Uh, hi, but how do you figure this site is absolutely commercial? I don't see any banner ads or anything really other than CDs for good prices. Maybe I'm missing something.

i agree with you, john. this site is pretty cool, and it has lots of links and info about buddy related stuff. plus, we can all weigh in with what we think about this or that.

how anyone could consider this site "too commercial" is a mystery to me. as far as i can see, the only thing for sale, as you've pointed out, are CDs of buddy's music, and that's something we can all appreciate. maybe CDs are free in germany....

hi john and jerry, Smiler germany is no paradise, we must pay for everything, just like you. i only wanted to tell you that this is a commercial site published and licensed by CMG Worldwide, a music company. they live from selling music, i live from my unemployment fees. times are hard in germany, in my home town 20 % don't find a new job. i am a buddy nut with a private homepage. that makes the difference.
cheers from Germany and keep rockin and have a look at the bottom of the first side of my homepage, i just added a photo you maybe like . . YEAH BUDDY !

Hello German buddy,

I think you are wrong in saying that this is a commercial site. CMG worldwide is an intellectual property rights management company. I did a little research and they are a company that handles the property rights of deceased musicians. You can clearly see at the bottom of this page that this whole site is owned by Maria Elena care of CMG worldwide. I understand that you want to plug your own site, and that's cool - but you don't have to bash Buddy's OFFICIAL site. I'm pretty new here, but it seems like this whole official site simply links you to important information on Buddy. That's just my opinion. I also checked out your site, the pictures are fantastic!

Hello newbie,

thank you for your information about CMG. Good to know! Wink This wonderful Buddy Holly site was developed and is being maintained by The Official Community Corporation, Maria Elena Holley holds the copyright, when I understand everything correctly. Those who created this gem in the www. are professionals with the complete knowledge and with the help of the best software. So they must be miles ahead from my website, that started in January 2005. I never made something like this before, I'll be 59 soon and I'm proud to work on my private homepage about Buddy Holly as a bloody beginner, but I like it with all of my heart, just as I like Buddy forever.

Smiler Cheers from Germany
Take care
Hans Werner
