Bruce Springsteen

Nicknamed "The Boss", Bruce Springsteen was the quintessential American rocker of the 80’s. Frequently touring and recording with the "E Street Band", Springsteen was widely known for his brand of heartland rock, rock and roll infused with Americana sentiments. His most famous albums "Born to Run" and "Born in the U.S.A." chronicled the every day struggles of a young man growing up in the streets of New Jersey.

His hit "Born in the U.S.A." became the theme song of Ronald Regan’s presidential campaign. With 12 Grammy Awards to date under his belt, he also won an oscar in 1993 for "Streets of Philadelphia" which appeared on the "Philadelphia" soundtrack. Today, Springsteen participates in various politically motivated concerts, including "Vote for Change" and concerts against nuclear energy, for Vietnam veterans, and Amnesty International. His most recent album, "Devils & Dust" was released in April 2005 and entered the album charts at number one in ten different countries.
